Software Developer @ Barclays Investment Bank

August 2023 - Present

  • Strengthened Barclays’ Core Settlement Services by migrating legacy systems to a microservices architecture using Spring Boot, deploying containerized environments on OpenShift, integrating Kafka for data handling, and Camunda for workflow orchestration—processing 10–20 million daily transactions valued at over $500 billion
  • Engineered scalable CI/CD pipelines across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments on AWS EC2 clusters, automating deployments with Jenkins, enhancing test coverage with JUnit, and integrating SonarQube—improving code quality enforcement for a high-throughput financial system processing billions in transactions
  • Migrated Barclays’ load balancing system to a microservices model using Python with F5 LTM/GTM load balancers, enabling self-service provisioning, leveraging Kafka for request queuing, and automating deployments with Ansible—reducing provisioning time from 4 weeks to 1 week, cutting manual effort
  • Automated Barclays’ Schedule Manager service for Securitized Products, optimizing SQL queries to generate and distribute weekly stress loss reports exceeding $1 billion in value—enhancing data accuracy and efficiency

    Stock Trading Bot

    Established a Python-based stock trading bot using Alpaca’s API, NumPy, and Scikit-learn to simulate trading strategies and execute paper trades. Architected price pattern recognition algorithms to identify buy/sell opportunities based on swing high patterns. Achieved a 3.02% portfolio gain in one month using a pattern-based strategy, outperforming the SPY ETF during the same period by identifying profitable trades with real-time market data

  • Featured Project

    Rutgers Route Planner System

    Led a team of 4 to create a Python-based bus route optimization algorithm using Agile methodology, providing a seamless user experience with an authentication component and a Tkinter-based GUI. Leveraged Google Maps API and Distance Matrix to calculate optimal routes and travel times, guaranteeing no student waited more than 30 minutes between bus stops across the New Brunswick campus. Verified system reliability and error resilience through comprehensive unit testing of user inputs and authentication

    Image Processing Matrix Operations

    Completed an image processing library that can process multiple images using matrix operations. All images can be represented by a matrix of single-byte values, where a pixel at matrix location (i, j) is represented by a number between 0 and 255. A color image consists of three channels: a red channel (R), a green channel (G), and a blue channel (B), and the corresponding matrix information for an image includes three matrixes, each with the same number of rows (height) and columns (width), one foreach of the three channels. Together,these are passed to an image-writing library for outputting to a file and displaying.

    OptimalDelivery is a logistics company focused on transporting shipments from producers to consumers in a distance-optimized way. Contributed to designing a route planning system that enables a fleet of 𝑇 trucks to pick up shipments from 𝑃 predetermined pickup points and deliver them to 𝐷 destination points, minimizing overall fuel costs by reducing the total driving distance.
